Geometry Dash is a rhythm-based platformer developed by RobTop Games. Your icon auto-runs from left to right through obstacle-filled levels, and your only job is to tap at precisely the right moment — every jump, every flip, every boost is timed to a driving electronic soundtrack.
One wrong move sends you back to the start. There are no health bars, no extra lives, and no checkpoints in Normal mode — just you, the beat, and relentless muscle memory.
Click the game to focus it, choose a level, and press Play. The icon starts moving instantly. Your only input is a single button — tap it to jump, hold it in some modes, and release it to descend. Simple to learn, extremely hard to master.
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Spacebar / Up Arrow | Jump or interact with jump orbs |
| Left Mouse Click | Jump / navigate menus |
| Z / X Keys | Place or remove checkpoints (Practice Mode only) |
| P Key | Pause the game |
Portals scattered through levels change your icon's shape and movement rules. Each form requires a different button strategy:
Practice Mode lets you place manual checkpoints with Z and remove them with X. When you crash, you restart from your last checkpoint rather than the beginning. Use it to isolate and drill the hardest sections of a level before attempting a clean Normal run.

Yes. You can play the browser version of Geometry Dash directly on this page with no download or sign-up required.
Checkpoints are only available in Practice Mode. Press Z to place one and X to remove it. When you crash, you restart from your last checkpoint instead of the level beginning.
Portals placed in the level change your icon form — from Cube to Ship, Ball, UFO, or Wave. Each form has different controls, so adjust your button strategy when you hit one.
Start with Easy or Normal difficulty levels to build core timing and pattern recognition. Demon-tier levels are designed for players who have already completed dozens of easier stages.
